Deputy Chair: Aarush Gupta
Hello! My name is Aarush Gupta, and I am a 9th-grade student at UWC East. I started my MUN career three years ago, and it is safe to say that MUN has taken me a long way. From 8 unforgettable conferences, debates, and friendships, MUN will be a part of my life that I will always think of fondly. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to share my enthusiasm with you. I look forward to chairing SPECPOL as it is a committee that promises a committee full of controversial opinions, making debate especially fruitful while also being a conducive environment for growth. I’ll be working as hard as possible to make this committee memorable. I wish all delegates good luck and hope you have an unforgettable experience at UWC!

Head Chair: Benjamin Bacchoo
Hello. My name is Benjamin Bacchoo, and I’m a 15-year-old student studying at UWCSEA East Campus. This will be my fourth year of doing MUN, and this conference will be my fourteenth. I have the complete and utter privilege to be head chairing the Special Political and Decolonisation Committee, as the issue of British Overseas Territories is something that I am most passionate about, and I return to the committee that started MUN for me! These issues that may feel antiquated still affect us today, and can truly teach us so much about the problems of the history of colonialism. I absolutely cannot wait to see you in February, and until then, I wish you the best of luck in preparation.

Deputy Chair: Saanvi Paturi
Hello! I am Saanvi, a 15-year-old and a 10th-grade student studying at UWCSEA East. I started my MUN journey recently in 9th grade, and it has quickly become a passion of mine. I’ve had the opportunity to attend three conferences so far, and this is my fourth—where I’m excited to take on the role of chair for the first time. MUN has taught me so much, from public speaking to diplomacy, and I’m eager to bring that knowledge and enthusiasm to my new role. I’m looking forward to working with all of you, and making this conference a memorable experience for everyone involved.
