Message from the 2024 MSMUN Secretariat
Dear Delegates, Student Officers, Directors and Distinguished Guests,
On behalf of the MSMUN@UWC East Secretariat 2024, it is truly my pleasure to welcome you to the MSMUN@UWCSEA East Conference, which will take place on the 20th and 21st January 2024. With it being our fifth anniversary, we attempted to make the Conference one to remember, and are proud to announce that we have over 350 participants and 10 schools joining us in January, including an international school from Thailand (shoutout to RIS!).
We are looking forward to seeing constructive debate of a high standard from all delegates involved, and providing a memorable experience for delegates of all skill levels and experience. We hope to see the younger delegates using this opportunity to develop their debating and discussion skills, while coming up with feasible solutions to current worldwide issues. In a time where conflict may seem closer than ever, we hope that this conference helps delegates consider the implications of such a conflict and the actions needed to prevent it.
It is you, the delegates, who are the future diplomats of this world. You will be the ones making the big decisions, the future policymakers, the future Secretary-Generals of the UN, the future ambassador to Singapore, and so on. Thus we encourage all of you to step out of your comfort zones in our conference, and whether its making your first POI or your first speech, we hope it can lead you to a journey of self discovery.
