Hey everyone! My name's Adrish, and I'm a Grade 12 student at UWCSEA East. MUN is something that has brought out a love for diplomacy and discourse within me that I didn't know I had. With this being my 9th MUN conference, I'm excited to see what you all make of this one.
August 1990 sits on a real fault line, with much of the Arab world insisting the crisis stay in Arab hands while others are convinced that only outside intervention can undo the invasion.
Finding the balance between those two sides is where the best debate lives, so I'd encourage you to take advantage of that tension rather than pick a side too quickly.

I'm Aashray, and I'm excited to be chairing the Historical Security Council at MUN@UWCSEA XIV. MUN has been a big part of my time at UWCSEA, and I've enjoyed every committee I've been part of, from the research to the actual back-and-forth of debate in the room.
What draws me to topics like this one is how messy real history actually is: there's rarely a clean right answer, and I'm looking forward to seeing how delegates work through that complexity rather than around it.
