Deputy Chair: Akhil Dasgupta
Hi delegates! My name is Akhil, and I am a grade 9 student in UWCSEA East campus. I have been doing MUN since 7th grade, and since then it has been one of my favourite activities. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, even though it was originally my parents' idea, and has helped me so much in so many different aspects. From speech delivering to public speaking, and helping with political and geographical knowledge, MUN has done it all.
This will be my first time chairing a conference, and I am really excited to be able to do this at one of the best conferences of the year. I can't wait for your amazing ideas and resolutions, and look forward to sharing this experience with you all! |
Head Chair: Aarav Gupta
Hi everyone! My name is Aarav, and I’m a Grade 10 student at UWCSEA East. I first joined Model United Nations in Grade 5 out of curiosity, not knowing how much it would shape my interests and confidence. Over the course of more than ten conferences, MUN has become one of the most enriching experiences I’ve had. From the thrill of making a POI to delivering a speech in front of a committee, every moment has challenged me to think critically and speak with purpose.
What I love most about MUN is the opportunity to represent countries on real global issues and explore diverse perspectives that broaden our understanding of the world. This year, I’m truly honoured to serve as your Head Chair for ECOSOC, and I’m excited to see the engaging debates, creative resolutions, and brilliant ideas that you will all bring to the conference in January. |
Deputy Chair: Sidraat Nahmar
Hi delegates! My name is Sidraat and I’m a G9 student at UWCSEA East. I started participating in Model UN in the 7th grade, and since then, it has become one of my greatest passions. I have been in a plethora of committees across multiple conferences, which fueled my geopolitical understanding and public speaking confidence. Having debated multiple times over quality of life, I am honored to serve as deputy chair in ECOSOC MSMUN X 2025; I know it’ll be incredible! I’m looking forward to the debate regarding corruption in governments and corporations, as well as the effects of social media on the minds of the youth.
I know this will be the first conference for many, so don’t hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected] if you have any questions (or just want to say hi!). Best of luck, see you all in January! |
