Dear Delegates, Directors, and Guests,
I am absolutely thrilled to welcome all of our participating students, directors, supervisors, and guests to our Middle School Model United Nations conference in 2026 at UWCSEA.
This year’s conference is a massive milestone for us as we celebrate our 10th anniversary and host our largest conference yet. We are excited to mark this special occasion with you! Our theme for this historic event is “Decennium Concordiae,” Latin for “A Decade of Harmony.” We are honoured to welcome special guest speakers to celebrate our theme of peace and harmony.
To our delegates, I encourage you to use this conference to actively practice the diplomacy the world needs as you step into difficult conversations to build peace, security, and harmony as set out by the UN. Voices from countries, big or small, can be heard and met with dignity and respect. Whether you are a first-time or a seasoned delegate, prepare to challenge yourself, make new friends, and bring your ideas to the table.
This landmark conference weekend is only possible due to the immense effort of our entire community. Starting with the amazing MSMUN Executive and Secretariat Team; their remarkable energy and commitment to both the conference and our program have been invaluable. Nothing can materialize without our essential operational teams: the Activities Department, Facilities, and Sodexo. And of course, our fabulous support team including Mrs. Nadine Mains, Mrs. Sylvie Thibault, Mrs. Divya Gupta, Mrs. Karen, and our HS Trainers. A most heartfelt thank you to all for your contributions to making this a weekend of harmony.
As a former UN Secretary-General once stated, 'The pursuit of peace and harmony is a constant, creative effort.' Let us begin that effort now.
